Peak Season’s a Good One at Tucker
Business is booming this peak season. We’ve
on-boarded some significant new customers in both consumer and industrial
electronics this year, and are increasing our participation in support of the
largest online retailers and some of their carriers during holiday peak season.
The common thread in all these new opportunities
is the customers’ need for a “precision process.” Customer appointments are
figured to the minute, and often contain penalties and fines. Late shipments
often cause a domino effect, adversely impacting many other shipments down the
line.
The years of steady, slow and gradual economic
improvement is tightening capacity among the larger fleets — especially those
with better service. Tucker’s ability to flex up or down, quickly and dramatically,
is supporting these shippers and earning some rave reviews along the way.
