INDUSTRY LEADER TUCKER COMPANY WORLDWIDE MOVING HEADQUARTERS TO HADDONFIELD, NJ

Third generation owners, Jim and Jeff Tucker, are pleased to announce that Tucker Company Worldwide is moving its headquarters to historic Haddonfield, NJ. The move provides more space for Tucker to grow, and a blank canvas to align Tucker’s improved operational design with an ideal physical layout, including upgraded employee wellness features.

Founded in 1961, Tucker is America’s oldest privately held freight broker, and arranges for the timely and safe transportation of goods, for hundreds of customers, utilizing thousands of over-the-road, ocean, rail, and air carriers.  Tucker specializes in high value, high security and specialized shipments. Tucker boasts several staff members with excess of 10, 20 and 30 years service to the firm.  Affiliate Tucker Consulting, Inc. will also relocate on April 24, 2015.

The brothers are very excited to invest in the business and its people, by moving to Haddonfield. Located a block from great stores and restaurants, and a block from the PATCO train station connecting South Jersey and Philadelphia, Tucker offers an outstanding work environment, and now even better access to Rutgers students and the rich and diverse Philadelphia workforce.

Haddonfield was founded over 300 years ago by Elizabeth Haddon. It played a critical role in the American Revolution, as the legislature secretly met at the Indian King Tavern, and in 1777 declared New Jersey an independent state. Haddonfield is also where the first largely intact dinosaur skeleton was found in 1858, named, Hadrosaurus foulkii. “Halloween” movie fans may recall the movie was set in fictional Haddonfield, IL (Debra Hill, the original movie’s co-writer grew up in Haddonfield, NJ). The snowboard was invented in Haddonfield’s Middle School, by then seventh grader Tom Sims.

Tucker Affiliate QualifiedCarriers.com Launches New Service

Several years ago, Tucker’s consulting services division was spun off from Tucker Company Worldwide, incorporated as a separate entity, and introduced an internet subscription tool called QualifiedCarriers.com to help shippers better vet, qualify and manage the motor carriers and brokers they hire.

Last month, QualifiedCarriers.com fulfilled its namesake promise with a major software upgrade and service offering. The new upgrade allows shippers and brokers to automatically qualify, and disqualify carriers, not just based on USDOT data, but also on just about any criteria a shipper can imagine (for example, the amount of the carrier’s cargo insurance, whether the carrier has signed a standard operating procedure, or has a hazmat registration permit). The upgrade also allows shippers a single and secure location in which to electronically store all required documents to verify these criteria. Wait, there’s more! The software provides built-in workflows designed to keep these documents current, automatically!

There is no other subscription service available that provides this comprehensive risk management tool. Congratulations QualifiedCarriers.com!
