Tucker’s 11th Annual Alzheimer’s Association Golf Outing a Success
On June 21, 2010, Tucker hosted its 11th annual golf outing supporting the Alzheimer’s Association. The event was held at legendary Donald Ross designed Riverton Country Club. The Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley Chapter President Wendy Campbell addressed everyone at the dinner afterward, thanking everyone for their ongoing support. We had a great day, filled with golf, fellowship and fun.
The event raised approximately $8,140, bringing Tucker’s 11 year contribution to over $58,240. Everyone at Tucker graciously thanks our sponsors, customers, vendors and guests in attendance.
As background, our owners Jim and Jeff Tucker lost a grandmother to the disease around the time of the first outing, and sales representative Kevin Gallagher lost his father, as have many of our guests. The outing provides a great chance to get together, but also gives everyone a sense that we’re chipping away at a disease that otherwise renders patients and families helpless.
The Alzheimer’s Association donates 40 cents from each donated dollar to medical research. The balance goes toward running the organization and its expansive volunteer programs. Visit www.alz.org.
